WHITNALL PUPIL SERVICES TEAM

School Counselor: School counselors help support Academic and Career Planning and Social Emotional Learning efforts throughout the district. School counselors also act as the 504 coordinators at Whitnall. At the elementary level, counselors provide classroom lessons to build on interpersonal and intrapersonal skills. Secondary school counselors (grades 6-12) are responsible for student scheduling, standardized testing coordination, and college and career readiness. For more specific school counseling information for Middle School and High School, please see the dedicated Counseling Page.

School Psychologist: School psychologists assist with academic and behavioral Multi-Level Systems of Supports (MLSS). They also aid in the special education process, working with families and teachers to provide consultation and evaluation services for students.

School Social Worker: Social workers serve as a resource and liaison to families, school personnel, community agencies, and others in helping students and families resolve issues that may interfere with a student’s education. Social workers utilize a systematic approach in identifying barriers and providing resources for supporting students’ and families' comprehensive needs.
